After many trips to extremely poor villages in Guatemala, the founder of JC Global Rescuers was exposed to the harsh conditions and realities of a broken educational system. Some classrooms were in horrible conditions. There were old desks, dirty classrooms, broken windows, and classrooms made out of pieces of wood. These children live in the poorest villages of Guatemala. They work to help support their families. There is no law, extreme poverty, hunger, no healthcare, no government assistance, and broken-down schools. These children face physical and sexual abuse. Children in the poorest areas are kidnapped and used for human trafficking. The highest grade a child is able to complete is 6thgrade, as there are no middle or high schools in these areas.

Over the last few years, thousands of children have received school supplies through donations made by special individuals and institutions. The goal of JC Global Rescuers is to provided resources that can help children achieve educational success. Children are not able to learn if they do not have the adequate resources. Our organization strongly believes that change can only occur when people work together.
